Everybody knows why the people run from VFP - M$ was clear enough. (Hey c'm on I remebre UNIX und MAC support, have seen german IDE etc.) No problem with the low price to me. TANSTAAFL

So they can tell there shareholder that they lost a customer. This is third persons problem in my dealing with M$ - I think a lame excuse for arrogance and laziness.
I don't care on shareholder. I'm responsible to my own.
I don't deal with shareholder, I deal with MS.

I have seen so many M$ hypes come and go. Silverlight was last? Or do I skip some more?
To me it's clear whats happend to the fox. It was clear as blue sky a decade ago. Not my decision to stuck that long to the dead horse. Would never have choosen M$ product in the first place. Was just a good working place. (O.K. I like the power of the Fox)

And I will admit that they listen. But thats it.
Look what happens with all the bugs in VFP. Look what is not working. UNC paths needs nearly a decade to work with VFP after they used it in the OS.
They listen more to the market, put out some vaporware to catch our lifetime. Not with me.

If some product reduces that value, the product is generally discontinued. As a small company, you personally can talk directly with every one of your customers. Ballmer cannot possibly do that at Microsoft. He *has* to rely on employees to listen and make the product decisions that are best for increasing shareholder value for the product they work on.
