I have this app that has run since 2001. I have about 1,000 customers. All have no problem but a handful report each year that as the exe runs, it stops, doesn't finnish with a menu or a jpg in the center of the screen. No way to exit the program. Won't run period.
It appears that some virus program is stopping it from running as some errors, show xxx.dbf access denied. I have had them check virus programs, call and talk to verizon etc with no sucess. Happens always with Windows Pro. No one brand of computer, happens to most.
Have a customer for 10 years, installed new software version and he had this lockup, says he didn't change anything except got verizon, verizon worked with him but deny their software is preventing anything, This customer is now gone.

Anyone else have this problem ? Is there a fix ??
Thanks for any help. I loose the customer when this happens.
