Actually, only Chrome can play MP3, OGG and WAV. IE9 can only play MP3. Firefox cannot play MP3 but can play the other two. So, we have to store various formats of our sound files on the server, use javascript to detect all that and we should be fine for a while. I guess HTML5 is not that yet of a standard for all those browsers.
