Hi Josh,

I am still getting an ODBC error that a field doesn't accept NULLs.

I added a default value to my Remote view. I checked the field and it does have my default value, however when I do the TableUpdate, the INSERT command that is sent to SQL Server (checked via SQL Trace) doesn't include the field.

Since the field isn't included in the INSERT, SQL Server will regard it as NULL. I can add a default value to the Table on SQL Server, but do you know why VFP is ignoring the field?

Further info: I am running VFP 6, SQL Server 6.5. The field is listed as updatable in the view. This field is not bound to any control on my form.

TIA,
Bill
