>Thanks - I've got SAMBA installed, but am having some congiguration difficulties with it. From my Windows '98 box, I can see the machine (which is named Duthie) in Net Neighborhood. When I click on the name, I get a password dialog requesting the password for resource \\Duthie\IPC. I have tried all of the passwords that I can think of that correspond to my accounts on the Linux box, but without success.

Jack: Win98 uses encrypted passwords. Read the README file included with SAMBA regarding this. you can either disable encryption on 98 or recompile samba for encrypted passwds.
