No. Windows is not more or less secure then others. There are always problems with software.
Only there are more unskilled people using Windows making it unsecure. Can't remember how many people I told "Do not work as admin ..." O.K. for old versions this was de-fault by design, but it goes better now.
The Linux front is simple used by more tech loving people that think about such problems so the problem is limited.
Last security problem on my system must be 20 years ago - and I'm forced to use Windows. Simple rules, plain text e mail, working as user has done for a long time.
