Thank you for your input. I intuitively sensed what you are saying (not really ever trying it) and bought a single band N router.

Belkin said there is no speed difference (my models are Belkin) in these two frequency's but rather just the frequency they are broadcasting on. This doesn't sound right, but I have to admit I can't tell a difference. The 2.4 seem just as fast.
