Our messages got cross posted. I replied to some of that in the reply I just made in the other message. Providing an overview with a paragraph, identified to the news provider, such as:

From MSDN Magazine: "Bla, blah, blah"

...with an overview of the image is entirely legal. There is nothing to sound the alarm panic button here. What you see here is something, already mentioned, that Nick was doing a while ago for a few years, in the exact same format, but with the additional of a small image, which most of the news site are doing BTW. I do not know why you are coming back on the topic. I already answered that in full details recently.

As far as bulletproofing the content publishing, I appreciate the fact that you are doing it. It is known by most of us here that you are seen as an evangelist about Microsoft or have some very good inside contacts and that brings you knowledge to a very high skill level. So, if you spot an entry in the content publishing that you see as wrong or contains some erroneous information, feel free to let me know by email and I will be happy to rectify the situation.

As for Mary's case, are you saying she should not use the Universal Thread to post her meeting announcements? If yes, what about Tamar and Erik, for example? We might as well tell everyone to stop using this site then. But, I guess I missed your point on that. Isn't it. Mary, Tamar, Erick and two others have constantly posted their user group meeting annoncements in the user group sections as well as creating a thread in here. This is why we created this category in the first place. But, if you are OK with the posting but not the layout and additional info that is included, such as forwarding people out of this side to get the additional meeting info, then what you are saying is not what you are preaching because recently you mentioned that some articles that made their way into the support area could lead to forwarding people out of this site and this was not good. And, now, you are mentioning that we should not post the additional meeting info and go as DAFUG Web site to get more info. Ole macro, am I confused now! :)

Don't get me wrong. I believe you like this site and you provide very good valuable content to it. But, sometimes, I ask myself if you really like it and why you are using it. But, again, this is just an impression I have and is probably not what the real facts are. :)
