>That's not what I'm saying at all. I can read about Windows 8 SKUs on dozens, if not hundreds of sites. My point is, it's VERY easy to get that information. Also, you're just some guy, reading an article, and reposting what many of us have already read elsewhere.

...so, is it that you're suggesting to remove the entire News section from this site as this is no use at all? I certainly hope that I understood that point wrong because I have a lot of members of this site you rely on this news feed, from one or several news network we use.

>In Mary's case, and the same is true of other user groups, it's difficult to get that informaton AND it's posted by the person in charge of the event.

So, this seems to resume what has been going on for years on this site in regards to the posting of user group meetings. This has always been done by them in the way they choose to include or not specific information about their meeting. And, whatever they post is then broadcasted on this side, and also on our networks. Is there anything else in regards to that point that you would like to precise or add so I can be sure that you are ok with all that.

>I find value in this site, from both technical value and friendships that I've made. With some topics, I've lost patience with people that refuse to see things from anything other than their point of view. And for the record, I don't always agree with Microsoft's decisions. I've criticized them several times when I believe they are making the wrong decision, but I also look at things from their point of view. That still doesn't mean I will agree with what they do.

Yes, I agree, especially on the frienships point. This reminds me of the debut of the site where it became rapidly known when I was able to see the members in person at various conferences. Then, I started to know more from new members who joined in later on but never had the chance to see them in persons, despite the fact that I received many invitations to attend additional events after that.
