>>>Matt Cain of the Giants signed a contract for $127 million a few days ago, which will run through 2017. With his record of 12-11 last year, I can only say that something is very wrong! What would they pay him if his record was 20-3?

>I couldn't have scripted it any better. Cain pitched 9 innings of two hit shutout ball against the Phillies last night and came away with a no decision. It has to be aggravating to pitch for a team that doesn't score runs.
But you left out that Cliff Lee pitched _10_ innings of shutout ball (102 pitches!) and came away with a no decision. It has to be aggravating to pitch for a team that doesn't score runs.
