One thing lacking in all too many members of the human race is "Humility".
Also recognize that the herd instinct exists in the ignorant. Allow others to think for you, as you are unable to think for yourself. We have a famous American Hero (to some misguided souls) whose name was Timothy McVeigh. He expressed his love of country and for humanity in his own way.
Of course we have the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), who expressed their love of country by killing blacks, Jews, Catholics and Republicans. Those were the days when Republicans were for the rights of man and not for the rights of the rich. Our two major political parties have reversed roles over the years.
You have to be a righteous Protestant to belong to the KKK. The Klan had as many as 6 million members. Today the Klan is much smaller, but we have many other groups who have different names in the name of righteousness. Survivalist, and White Supremacist are but two groups who express their hate towards others.
In my travels around this country over the years, I have often asked myself, “The United States of What”? I think a better term for our nation would be “The Separated States of America”. Many “Americans” hate people from California or New York. How dare we have liberal ideas! Then again, I can take you fifty miles from San Francisco, and you would think you were in Mississippi! Yes, California has plenty of nut cakes too.
We have plenty of nut cakes in this country, as do others around the world. But I must admit that our nut cakes are the best! They are “Real Americans”! :)
