Wow. So I wonder who it is that comes up the class requirements for these programs - obviously they're not exactly clued in to the real world needs of a CS grad.

The University of Utah has one of the best rated CS departments in the country, but when I look at the program, it is VERY heavy on what academics think they should be teaching and VERY little on what is really needed today. For example, somewhere between 80% and 90% of CS graduates will end up developing business software, yet the UofU program does not require a single business class.
