>Reading the "Access best" and related paranoia I can't help but wonder how much truth could there be in the fact that most people in the Fox community are "of a certain age" implying that, like myself, saw dBase II under CP/M as a blessed deliverance from BASIC. We lived thru the golden age of "Xbase" and undertandingly do not want to throw away our expertise. Like many of you I also work in VB/Access and to me it's a "no contest" with VFP but, I would be very interested to hear the opinion of a young programmer that might have started with another 4GL, say Powerbuilder, SQL Windows or the like and is now working with VFP.
I started with dbaseIII, moved to Foxbase (ah, the good ole days!!!), then graduated with Foxpro products through the present. Tried Access...Hated it, Tried VB... Hated It too! (I wait for the JET database engine after working with foxpro!!!)
