>>Settings/Printers, Right Click the printer, select Properties. In most cases, there will be a Capture Settings tab for network printers; if not, it's accessible within the Details tab as well. And you can also access some printer settings from Control Panel/CSNW if you're using Client Services for NetWare, or the printer is treated as an MS Networks printer if access is granted via GSNW on a domain server.

You should also be able to do this via the Properties page - I just tried this on my NT system here, where I access my Epson Stylus from this NT box on the network. If I open the Properties page for the Printer, and select the Details tab, about in the middle of the page there are two buttons, Capture Printer Port and End Capture, which can assign the network printer to an MS-DOS usable printer port.

The HP 5si at the office is on a Novell Server; the HP's Property sheet includes a Capture tab. I'll check the settings there (I don't run NetWare here at home). Some of the options for the network printer assignment for NetWare provided printers are controlled through the CSNW applet (for example, banner and notification settings at least are there).

FWIW, I'm running NT 4.0 SP4 here; the printer property pages for my Epson are identical on both my NT Server and NT Workstation machines.
