Anything that is vfp native is always easier to implement. I did try your (and Mike Lewis'es ; http://www.ml-consult.co.uk/foxst-45.htm ) aproach long time ago but show stopper for me was the fact that u cannot make main form modal, which is sometime necessary.

Other then that, it is probably just fine for many common uses.
