Typing "rm -rF /" while logged in as root on a Unix machine is *not* a good thing to do (OK, didn't do this personally, but I do know someone who did -- one the first things he did immediately was kill the sync daemon, kick everybody off and disable further logins, then started the repair/recovery work while sweating bullets -- had it back up and running after a few hours. When users asked what happend his answer was "don't ask").
