As long as MS isn't able to fix the SMB2 Issues in the course of 4 years, how is the release of monthly patches going to help? And if you've got a problem on a production database you do not have the luxury to wait to the next patch.
I'm reccommending my clients to wait at least another year before even considering going SQL2012. On top of that, the licensing model turns out to be a lot more expensive as we did reccommend te workgroup version to our clients. But that one is not available anymore in SQL2012 and you'll have to purchase the more expensive standard version.
