I spent last winter doing this. All 2055 CDs. Luckily we have long winters in MT.

I second WMP. I tried MediaMonkey for awhile, but I found I prefer the interface for WMP.
PS: after all that ripping I maintain 2 offsite backups. I don't want to do all over again.
