For mobile and other, local databases are being built into all the browsers so one strategy would be to update that built-in local table with VFP data. Your jQuery or jQuery mobile app would talk to talk the the FoxPro server code and data. And if you needed to, you always could replace with a C#/SQL backend or other. This to me makes much more sense than jumping ship completely since it's easier and cheaper!
