Sad news for me then (I already have plane tickets, etc. etc.) - plus it is very difficult to be away from the office that many consecutive days this year.

If not a Pre-Conference, consider 1 or 2 regular sessions during the regular Conference as an alternative if this is still possible (probably not) or even an after-Conference session.
