I've seen a least a dozen articles online and at least 1/2 that number of T.V. news stories talking about this happening to people. There is one play (in KY if I remember correctly) where the cops like to pull over semi-truck drivers and steal all their money since they tend to carry a fair amount of cash sometimes.
