Question: did you make your changes to the form in the form designer? I ask since the SCT file is the memo for an SCX and generally those aren't changed _directly_.

To diagnose it, you can, if you're feeling adventurous,:
1. !!FIRST!! BACKUP THE SCX/SCT files
2. USE mainform.scx
3. GO 4 && go the record causing the error
4. MODIFY MEMO PARENT, OBJNAME && this will show you which object is the problem and what it's parent is.

If you get that far and it's not obvious where to go from there, repost...
