Why not just pass it as parameter?
.....
Test(ParameterDirection.Input);

public void Test(ParameterDirection TestMe)
        {
...
            SqlCommand sql = new SqlCommand();
            sql.Parameters.Add("asd", SqlDbType.Int, 4);
            sql.Parameters[0].Direction = TestMe;
   ...     
        }
