Now about a week ago for no reason that I can find when the laptop starts the wireless network comes up with limited access with no internet connection. If I disconnect and then reconnect it is fine. I have not made any network changes to windows or the router. Needless to say having to reconnect every time I start the laptop is a pain.

Perhaps something in the environment has changed? Have you checked to see what wireless networks that are visible to your computer? On occasion I'd seen where network preferences get shuffled around due to detected wireless signal strengh.
