Not sure whether the same rules apply, but http://www.west-wind.com/wconnect/weblog/ShowEntry.blog?id=678 has pointed me into finding out that you can't write a new class into the registry under the Vista and W7 unless you run as admin. Not quite sure that is always the case, but worth a try.
