That's true, but it's changing, Mike.
The network people I work with - all Window gurus - are pushing Linux web servers now- even tho they make less on them - and as that happens things like ASP.NET will have to start justifying themselves, and will have a hard time doing it.
So Windows server is on the way out, in my mind.
Windows rules the desktop, for sure, but the end of the desktop is now in sight, I think.
The New Yorker had a good cartoon recently-
Two guys dressed circa 1400 were looking at a freshly printed book and one said:
