Windows 2008 Server
I haven't done any test, but does a 32bit version of a desktop app run as fast as the 64bit app of the same app?
This is assuming the computer is a top of like with I7 chip and 8 gig of Ram?
>The truth is, 64 bits doesn't gain you much on the desktop. The server is where it really shines, and Windows Server is now 64 bit only.

>>Very true - I was surprised at how few 64bit apps there actually are. I have 2 new Windows 7 64 bit computers and needed to put lots of new stuff on it, and app after app was 32bit.

>>>>Word on the internet has it that Windos 9 (due out 2015) will be 64bit only with absolutely no 32 bit support whatsoever (except via sandboxed virtual machines).

>>>>Is Windows 9 then the final nail in Foxpro's coffin ?
