>>Do you have something against the working man (and woman)? I am certainly no blind defender of everything unions have ever done but let's not forget that they came about for a reason. Workers were ruthlessly exploited by ownership until they organized some power of their own. For some strange reason a lot of people seem to want us to return to that state of affairs.

>>Just because one believes that the unions have outlived their usefulness does not mean that one wants to return to the days of sweat shops, child labor, 16 hours work days, etc. etc. And in this country, even if one wanted to return to that state of affairs, it would be illegal.

>>In the private sector, union membership has droppped dramatically over the years and only a small minority of the labor force in the private sector is unionized. I do not see workers being ruthlessly exploited by ownership in the private sector. What I do see is the owners (i.e., the tax payors) being ruthlessly exploited by the workers in the public sector unions who think that they are entitled to their health care and pensions without having to contribute one single penny to them like those of us in the private sector are required to do.

>Schoolteachers being ruthless exploiters of other workers, that's a good one. Good lord in the morning. The Koch brothers must have a fat and satisfied look on their faces today.

When are you going to look at the facts about union extortion? When the argument gets to close to the truth, you shut down with some inane innuendo and then say I'm not going to argue about it anymore.

The people of Wisconsin sent a clear message to Gov. Walker and his administration. "Green Light" keep doing what you're doing. from 3 Billion deficit to 150 million surplus a reduction of union membership by 80+ thousand members, an increase in the jobs created which sounds like a winning plan to me; however, the unions fought to regain the control and have lost it totally.

Yes I'm happy, and I hope it plays out the same in November.
