From the information I collected yesterday, it seems we will not be needed such approach. Our EXE does have to communicate with our server. And, from our server, it seems we have a direct gateway to communicate back with the other remote interface, which provides a COM interface approach. All this is encrypted and secured. As we need the same data or most of it on the server as well, this seems like the perfect route to take. IAC, it was an interesting discussion on this topic. If I ever need to do something more direct like this, I will then be able to revisit this thread. Thanks for having provided various alternatives.
