>I currently have a VFP 3.0 application. Is there any danger in converting it to VFP 5.0 and continuing all further coding in VFP 5.0. My users will use the distributable EXE. And one of my users who may need to access data outside of the system has VFP 3.0. Should I forsee any problems?

Craig and Bruce ahve given two parts of the answer.

Here's another. if your database uses stored procedures then you can't share it between 3.0 and 5.0 because the compiled code format changed between versions.

New commands were added in 5.0 and that meant the compiled code format had to change to accomodate them.
