The association between the tool and the result is simply "can the tool deliver the desired result." What's most important is the RESULT. At this point in time with our primitive technology (looking ahead 5,000 years) we use computers and handwritten software are the best we can do in IT.

Personally I'm waiting for mass telepathy so we can just sit around and think about things.
