I am just starting to get involved in SQL Server and extracting data from SQL files. I have been writing reports inside an app. that is written in VFP and uses FoxPro tables. This app is changing over to SQl files and I need to learn how to extract data inside their system
using their views as well as using remote views outside it for reports. This app is used to manage our company.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get started and what resources are available for learning?
