I agree that Windows7 search is a big improvement. It's not the holy grail but no tool every will be, because there are always exceptions where you need that extra feature. But 99.9 % of all my searches are now no-brainers, same in Outlook search. I adopted this way of searching in many of our applications and it is really 100 times better, and the users love it. Only thing that could have helped is a button "advanced search" that gives an easy to use search builder, for those special situations. But I must admit I never needed it until now.
