Now, do I think this is a witch hunt? yes, I do. We wouldn't have heard a damn thing about any of the "Fast and Furious" operations had this one not gone south.

Was "Fast and Furious" the first 'operation' like this? No - there were at least two other similar 'gun-walking' incidents during the Bush Administration (don't know how successful they were), so having the Republican Congress critters getting all up in the air screaming about this all being a Democrat operation strikes me as a little hypocritical.

Do I think something went horribly wrong with "Fast and Furious"? yes, I do.

Do I think "Fast and Furious" was an incredibly stupid idea? yes, I do, but I can understand the thinking behind it.

Do I think this is the way to get to "what went wrong"? No, I don't.
