They kept saying price would be comparable to various competing devices (don't remember which right now). I got the impression the range would start around $400 for the Win RT version and get up into the $800 range for the Win 8 Pro version.

They did seem fairly quiet about battery life - only saying the Intel/Pro version would suck considerably more power (although maybe it has a bigger battery in the bigger form factor).
