Thanks for your reply. My problem isn't _how_ to do the saving, it's when to do the saving to get an accurate picture of the toolbar's real status. I have successfully worked around the Undock method's quirkiness, but I had to break the dockstatus code out separate from the rest of the registry settings to do it...
