Whoever was behind it is missing in action.

Lianja has a full (and enhanced) cross-platform VFP in existence. Since then, Microsoft has punted on it's cross-platform stated goals (Silverlight), has punted on its support for dynamic languages, and has lost relevance in the mobile space. So VFP.Net's disappearance is not missed.

Perhaps I'm missing your point.

>>That's what you know to be true today. The core of Lianja is a framework that utilizes QT and CSS to achieve cross-modality capabilities within a single version of the application. By mid-August (actually earlier: the cloud beta will start well before that) we'll see the first installment on this claim, in the form of web mobile (HTML) apps. By New Years (Q4), we'll see about iOS Native with the same app. And by end of 13Q1 we'll see about Android.

>>FWIW: Lianja already has live tiles with dynamic info updating. They aren't styled like Metro, but that's (just) CSS.

>>>Truly cross platform solutions are imagination. You still have to rework the UI for every platform.
