I still have VFP code in production at various client sites (and at home).

Any maintenance other than trivial immediately bring up the possibility of a rewrite. Modern interface, web interface, SQL database (if not using SQL already), speed, and maintainability all are considered. They are all liabilities on the VFP side.

Then the application is rewritten :)

The only projects in recent years involving VFP I have dealt with that weren't originally written by me are strictly rewrites to .NET.

I invested time and money (classroom training) in learning .NET and especially ASP.NET. I was not going to try to drag old code with me into the future.

It has paid off very well.
