If history means anything it will probably last about 10 years.
Most of our VFP apps started out as Foxbase or FP6. We got 8 or 9 years out of that and converted to VFP during the late 90's.
All of our VFP apps use SQL Server with stored procedures. No conversion at all there.
We probably won't get as long a life as we did with VFP, but I'd expect it to be over 10 years.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
