/edit/
Why wait a year? First release of the app builder with VFP code features is slated for 31 July, with scx/vcx/report converters targeting 30 September. World peace and paying back the national debt isn't until Q1 2013. ;-)
Re your earlier taunt about eTec: IMHO their mistake was to try the big bang approach and they got bogged down on the tricky GUI stuff before they could offer anything useful. Lianja is getting VFP data/non-gui code sorted first (even down to older 2.6 .spr forms which are just code) and is creating converters/importers for the rest rather than trying to compile natively. It's a good idea: it's well over a decade since Rick Strahl wrote a scx-to-dhtml converter and it's even easier today with css and code management available in Lianja. Who really cares whether it's still a scx if it has a form designer and code snippets?
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
