Fred is right. ??? will pass the codeds directly to the printer.
On the other hand, I must warn you that without a windows driver for you printer you are in trouble. I'd seriously consider other alternatives. I take the liberty to talk like that because "I've been there" and it was quite a traumatic experience.
The way Windows handles the parallel port is totally different from what it was in DOS. This is due to it's multitasking capabilities, from what I undertood.
