Actually, here's what will happen:

- Republicans will spend the next two years trying to overturn Obamacare, especially if Romney wins. Because of this, you'll see very little else done in Washington. The country will stagnate even more.

- Democrats will try to push through more "mandates", calling them a "tax", especially if Obama wins. If this happens, prepare to open your wallet.

There are some good things in Obamacare, but some very, very bad things. I know of several independent software developers who are already paying more for healthcare insurance than rent. Projections are that Obamacare will make it worse for them.
