HMO is not the only game in town. O care will be soon. What healthcare needs is regulations relaxed and opened up to more competition. Why do states have to say what benefits have to be sold by insurance companies? I should be able to buy health insurance from any insurance company I wish. Law suites are a big problem as well.
I had a long talk with my doctor a few months ago. He told me that a very large percentage of his practice's expense is liability insurance and paperwork. He said if it wasn't for that, he would prefer to get rid of his office and just go to the patients home. He could charge 20.00 a visit and make more money and he is making now. His office visit is > 100.00 now. The health care system is really broken now and Government has caused most of it.
>How will it be different than you HMO telling you what you need?

>>Isn't that the point. I would rather have my doctor recommending what is needed the the government. And that is exactly what O care is about.
