It sounds like you tried to launch it with the FoxPro 'DO' command. External programs that are not FoxPro apps are launched with the "RUN" command.

Yes, but it needs to be written in something other than FoxPro, since in order to run a FoxPro application, the runtime has to be installed, and in order to install the runtime in your case, you have to run your application...something about chickens and eggs...
