So why are these fat cats trying to make this dispute a XOR choice (market vs socialized)? They both exist at the same time in practically every socialized system. Don't like what you're getting from what the state guarantees you should? Walk across the street and fork some extra cash.

OTOH, why are the fat cats afraid from a little competition from the state insurance? If the gummint is so inefficient and slow, they won't have any customers, so why not have them go out there and look stupid?
