Dachsunds and Chihuahuas are unlikely to be able to kill you.

We had a case here recently of a pit bull attacking a neighbours child in the garden.
Reminded me of visiting my sister in law when the neighbour had a pit bull, as we sat in the garden with the children I could hear this animal repeatedly crashing head long into the fence.

As Viv said they are designed/bred for a specific purpose not as a pet.
