>>It is obvious that you know absolutely nothing about the tea party.

Actually I agree with some (not all) of the general principles and might be able to agree on unemployment as well if there were enough jobs for everybody and if Tea Party Nation didn't do crazy things like asking small businesses not to hire new employees because a bad economy will hurt Obama's chances in the election.

Fact is that in the real world there aren't enough jobs even before Tea Party Nation gets involved. Yes, you have told us that you were able to hold down a bar job to get yourself through school, but times have changed and these days there would be numerous candidates needing that job to feed the kids and without the attributes possessed by a cheerful young woman. Once the lack of jobs is acknowledged, policies that willfully ignore this reality are dangerous (because it doesn't take long for starving masses to realize that they have nothing to lose, in which case God help the rest of us) and cast doubt on the common sense of the adherents. Add in antisocial behaviors like the employment pledge and the good stuff gets buried under a deluge of bad. Of course I know TPN isn't mainstream tea party but if stuff happens and the party doesn't dissociate, the mud sticks.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
