I disagree. We're currently installing a commercially available B2B system that used extensively in Europe and was developed in Western Europe. It's all .Net/ASP.Net.
My previous employer is a Fortune 100 with offices all over the world. They were once a Java shop, but have been moving to .Net for the past several years. In fact, they've been featured in several Microsoft presentations/white papers.
And, don't forget that ECMA agreed to a standard version of C#.
