It's still a goliath; but it's no longer a goliath that controls the entire system. We interface with 2 different Spa reservation systems written in Java, as well as a pharmacy POS written in Java. The locations they are in are big IT systems, and no one cares. The days when it's "windows or else" are gone. As for .Net: one of the widest-spread resort reservations systems is still in VFP. And of course our retail inventory management (everything from materials handling to requisitions to analytics, as well as all the usual stuff) is written in VFP. No one cares.

IOW, suddenly there's a lot of freedom out there.

>>>For sure - but Windows is not the goliath dominating all of IT any more.
