There are extremists who purport to follow the Koran just as there are extremists who purport to follow the Bible. There are even violent extremist Buddhist groups these days which is remarkable when you consider what Buddhism is about. Fact is that people with mayhem in mind are becoming adept at shrouding their intentions behind sound bites or a flag of morality.
